Once you have a temporary folder full of tags for songs for the virtual announcer you are working with you will need to import them on the library screen. Select the temporary folder on the left hand side of the library screen. Select "Announcer Song Tag (Forward)" in the robot library then the day and day part of the virtual announcers shift. You will see the announcers name in red, this will ensure you put the correct tags in the correct place. Use the "Add All" button to import all of the tags. Repeat the process for any other hours this virtual announcer presents.

DELETING OR CHANGING GENERAL & ANNOUNCER TAGS

You can
delete tags on the library screen using the normal functions to delete files from library folders. You can find the tag files in the table below:

The tag for a particular song will have the same filename exactly as the song, so make sure that you are in the correct library folder (i.e. A tags folder not the actual song folder--it can be confusing when they are named exactly the same!) or you will delete the song file by mistake.

To
change any of the three types of song tag's simply add a new tag to a particular song in the manner previously discussed, the former tag for that song will be overwritten.

STEP 2: Place Tag commands into the format

For a tag to play (i.e. Announce a song) a tag command (eg. a
TAGGF item) must be placed in the format in the block corresponding to the song. The tag command is general (just as the SONG item is general), so a tag command (or item) placed in the format means "play this type of tag for the song playing". Robot will find the correct file automatically based on the name of the song it has selected if the tag exists (In fact it compares the precise filename of the song and looks for a file named the same in one of the tag folders). If you place a tag command/item in the format and Robot can not find a tag audio file for the currently selected song then it will simply ignore the command--everything else including the song will however still play normally. So if you're working your way through tagging the songs gradually, the songs you have tagged will be announced, those you haven't won't.

A tag keys off the song currently playing in the primary. For tags to work the song to be tagged must be in the primary channel (and naturally at the top position of the block). You can place the tag command in either channel 2,3 or 4 at any position (top mid or tail), but the song to be tagged (announced) must be in the primary. Of course where you apply the command could be important in terms of playback: if you place a General Forward Tag at the tail position of the block in channel 2, the tag will announce the song AS IT ENDS. "Coming up this is the song" will probably not sound very good as the song is finishing! You can not place a tag command in a block without a song (e.g. on its own or in the primary before or after a song) as it will have no song to key off in that block. When placing a tag command it is advisable also to increase the presence so that the voice is slightly louder than the song, otherwise your listeners may not be able to hear it blended in with the song at the same volume.

You can tag a song in the format one of three ways.
