Robot is capable of simulating, or giving the impression of different announcers across several hours or for every single hour. This is achieved by using specific audio for different announcers. On the library screen you can import four types of audio for an announcer: INTRO,TALK, TIME & announcer voiced TAGS (then set up on the format screen, see Appendix D for a full explanation).
An INTRO is generally an introduction to the hour and indicates who the person is. Perhaps the person saying "This is John Smith with you for the next hour" or "Coming up this hour is John Smith" in the voice you use for your overall station image.
TALK is generally generic talk using that persons voice to accompany the music and other material automated throughout the hour. Both types of specific talk have up to 20 groups and the default which you can assign when planning out the format to vary the randomly selected talk around to suit different parts of the day or night.
Step 1: To make this process easier you first need to plan out where and when your different presenters will be appearing on the station automation. You do this on the format screen. As you change the Day part and Day drop down menu's you will notice that the name in the "Announcer Name" field sometimes changes. The software ships with default names. You need to change these according to the Day part and Days for which you are going to simulate live announcers. So select the first hour of the first shift and change the name in the field to your announcer. Select the next hour (if their shift is to last over several hours) and do the same. Repeat the process for all your simulated live announcers for the next 31 days over each 24 hour period. Note this will not affect any format planning you have already done.
