ASSIGNING ITEMS TO R12 CHANNELS

Select the day part and day from the format.

In the format box you will see the format items
you have planned on the Format Screen. Select the item
(EG. Top--Song) to assign to a channel by clicking on it.

To assign the format item to a channel click the appropriate R12 channel button (e.g. Rear R) and the assignment
will be applied for you. To change a channel assignment simply select the format item in question and click the new R12 channel button.

You can also copy and paste days and hours if you wish to apply the same settings more then one format period.

You can hear how the hour will sound with the "Test Hour" button.

Note: If you are using R12 compression you must switch off "Monitor Volume Level" in the Dead Air tracking module on the "Set Up" screen. If during playback the item plays for around 10 seconds then the program re-starts (consistently) then this is DAT being triggered by R12 as one channel may be silent.

DIGITAL OUTPUT
Robot can send its audio over Ethernet using the add-on Digital server and Client modules (Sold separately). The Server Module works with the basic Robot software to package and transport the audio output via TCP/IP to a Client running on another machine for play back using DirectX.

Port
The command Port number of the Digital Server (usually 6789).

Packet Size
The size in bytes of each packet the server sends per transaction. This would be varied according to performance over the distance you are sending the audio.

Start
When the Digital Server is started, normal audio from the PC soundcard is switched off. Thus you will not hear anything on the PC running Robot. However you will still be able to hear audio when using "preview" buttons. If connection to the digital server is broken, Robot will automatically keep trying to re-connect until it is successful.
