To change between ACTIVE and PASSIVE mode from the Active mode screen you have two options:

  • MIX: Stop the cart currently playing and automatically start the automation after mode change.
  • ACTIVE: Click the Blue mode button.

Active Mode carts can be loaded from their former saved state in two ways:

  • Manual: The carts are loaded according to selection manually on the day and day part drop down menu's.
  • Auto: The carts are loaded automatically as each hour changes. This gives you the scope to set up scheduled carts for your presenters and have them loaded in front of them without the need for their interaction.

Automatic Scheduling of Active Mode Carts
Carts can be scheduled for you in two ways:

  • MOD: Using the add-on traffic module (must be purchased separately) to schedule advertising.
  • AUTO SCHEDULE: The first 16 carts screens in each hour can be automatically scheduled from the format set up for automation on the "format" screen.

Ticking the link box will enable automatic linking of the first cart. This means that when each hours carts are loaded, the first cart is automatically played. This means for example that if you use a "PASV" command in the automation format to shift between Passive mode automation to Active mode manual interaction, the transition will be smooth as the first cart will be played for the presenter. It also means that the first cart will be played as the hour changes (if you are using AUTO loading), so it can be used for a station ID or satellite feed that must be played at the top of each hour.
